What is Commencement Certificate (CC)?

A Commencement Certificate (CC) is a mandatory permission issued by the local municipal corporation or urban development authority in India. It confirms that the developer holds the required clearances (environmental, fire, aviation) and that the structural plans comply with local bye-laws, and it legally allows the developer to begin foundation work.

Practical example

A developer in Pune has bought land and drawn up architectural plans for a residential society. The developer cannot legally dig the foundation or pre-sell apartments under RERA until the Pune Municipal Corporation reviews the plans and issues the Commencement Certificate (CC).

In SuperWise

In SuperWise the scanned Commencement Certificate can be stored as a project document in a folder, with a document number, a date and searchable tags. Folder rights decide which roles can view, upload or delete it, and a revision history is kept when a revised certificate replaces it.
