The site drawing that fixes where buildings, roads, parking, utilities and open space go on a plot, submitted for approval.

## What is Layout Plan?

A Layout Plan, also called a master plan, is a two-dimensional drawing of the whole project site. It shows the position and orientation of building footprints, internal access roads, parking zones, underground utilities and landscaped open space relative to the plot boundary.

## Practical example

Before selling plots in a gated community, the developer submits the layout plan to the urban development authority. The authority checks that the plan leaves the mandated 10% [Open Space Ratio](https://superwise.site/glossary/open-space-ratio/) (OSR) for parks and that the internal roads are wide enough for fire engines.

## In SuperWise

SuperWise stores a layout plan as a project document in a folder, with a purpose, a stage and a revision history, and links it to the schedule nodes it applies to. Schedule nodes can sit under parent nodes, so work can roll up by tower or phase in the Gantt.
