A small outline map in the corner of a detailed drawing that shows where that drawing's part sits in the full project layout.

## What is Key Plan?

A Key Plan is a small outline map, usually in the corner of a detailed drawing such as a single apartment floor plan. It highlights where the part shown on the drawing sits within the layout of the whole township or building, so a reader can tell which tower, wing or floor the drawing covers.

## Practical example

A plumber looks at a zoomed-in drawing titled Type A Bathroom Plumbing. To find which tower and wing the bathroom belongs to, the plumber checks the key plan in the top-right corner, where a shaded dot shows that the drawing applies to Tower 4, North Wing.

## In SuperWise

A SuperWise project document sits in a folder and carries a drawing number, searchable tags, a purpose and a stage. A document can also be linked to a schedule node, such as a floor slab, to show which part of the work the drawing applies to.
