The final set of drawings a contractor submits at completion, marked up to show how the work was actually built.

## What is As-Built Drawings?

As-Built Drawings, also called record drawings, are the final revised drawings a contractor submits at project completion. They show how the work was actually built, with every site modification, [change order](https://superwise.site/glossary/change-order/) and deviation from the original design.

## Practical example

While installing plumbing lines, the contractor finds a structural beam in the way of the planned pipe path and reroutes the pipes. The As-Built Drawings record this actual route, which the facility management team needs for future maintenance.

## In SuperWise

In SuperWise, drawings are project documents kept in folders, each with a document number, a purpose (For Approval, For Construction or As Built), a stage and a revision history. A document can be linked to the schedule node it applies to, and view, upload and delete rights are set per folder by role.
