# About SuperWise, built in Mumbai since 2015 > SuperWise has built construction management software in Mumbai since 2015 to connect field and office. We think a project runs well when the field and the office work from the same record. ## Why we built SuperWise There are many construction management products, and we built another because, in our view, most of them serve the office or the field and do not connect the two. We started SuperWise in 2015 on the view that effective project management depends on field and office collaboration. A site engineer records progress once, and the planner, the purchase team and the billing engineer work from that record. SuperWise connects to the tools a company already uses through Zapier, which runs on an OAuth2 REST API, so data is exchanged instead of duplicated. Construction companies share similar organisational structures and operating processes. That is why SuperWise is configurable around them rather than built for one company.
